In this episode we look back over some of the most accurate predictions from our read-through of The Final Empire. Some of them aren't so out there as to be mind-blowing, but some were eerily correct. After that, we discuss our first Cosmere short, The 11th Metal. Kelsier fights his first mistborn, and Gemmel gets a sweet fork. Everybody wins, except for that guy who died I guess, but he was a jerk anyway. Empire. So My Revolution seemed appropriate. The Well of Ascension song is actually going to be Keepers. Seemed right for the book that’s supposed to focus on Feruchemy more. OB is a long way off, but I’ve got a list of potential song fits for each book. Right now I think the two at the top of my list for that are, Break of Dawn, “Bring the light back.” “Unity will bring the upper hand.” Or rose When the Wolves Cry Out, “Blood on the snow, blood on the ashes, I’m not ashamed of what I am.”

I just try to pick something that fits thematically or maybe has some lyrics that I think work well for the book. Brandon has said that The French Revolution was a big influence on the story/culture of The Final

You guys missed the biggest hint about Marsh. Back when Mare was alive and Kelsier was just a thief, and Marsh was the leader of the Skaa rebellion. It's mentioned that his nickname used to be Ironeyes. It was only mentioned once, at the first or second meeting with Marsh.

I'm curious about how the MoS songs are chosen, do they have any relationship with the book discussed? I guess that My Revolution fits with the Skaa trying to topple The Final Empire, since the song has the French Revolution context? Is TWoA song Ascension (Divinity Original Sin 2)?: Echoes of life/Drink from the well to ascend/Gods are awoken/Echoes of life/Tearing the threads of the veil again If you do OB, I find Ode to Fury or All as one really fitting! PS: I really like this podcast!
