118 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 17 and 18

It's time to invade a ... warehouse. Ok, so that's not terribly dramatic sounding, but believe me, it's pretty intense. In these chapters our characters learn some interesting things about an eldritch device or two and then plan an infiltration. The podcast crew has mixed reactions. 117 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 14, 15, and 16

Joe missed this episode but did send in a few thoughts that you can find inserted toward the end. Otherwise this is a wacky, action-packed entry. Explosions, romantic moonlight kisses, impalements, frame-ups, even an appearance by Old Iron Eyes himself (sorta). It was definitely a crazy ride on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

116 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 11, 12, and 13

Just about all our characters get their chance to shine in these chapters. Marasi, Wayne, and Steris all get some terrific moments for the crew to appreciate. There's even an appearance by our old friend the sexy drifter. So we'd be a very demanding group indeed if we didn't have some nice things to say on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

115 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 8, 9, and 10

On this week's episode we arrive at New Seran and are treated to something out of a sketch comedy show. Seriously, Wax and co should take this act on the road. In addition to that, an interesting email has our whole crew reliving their acting accomplishments. It's something of a rare insight into the histories of our hosts on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

114 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 5, 6, and 7

These chapters feature some very cute relationship moments and the train robbery that contributed heavily to the choice of song for this book. In addition, Steris just keeps climbing the ladder of favorite characters for the crew. See it happen again on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

113 - The Bands of Mourning - Chapters 3 and 4

It probably won't come as a shock to too many listeners, especially after last week, but the crew is getting a little bit tired of Wayne and his selfish antics. 112 - The Bands of Mourning - Prologue, Chapters 1 and 2

And we begin the last currently-published book of Mistborn Era 2. There's a lot of excitement among the crew as the possibilities multiply. As for the chapters, there's a wedding. This is it, the final episode of Shadows of Self and the big reveal. Did people predict it? Yeah, sure, maybe. Does that stop it from being an incredibly emotional moment? I don't know. Could be. Will that prevent me from asking silly rhetorical questions and then answering them anyway? Clearly not. 109 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 18 and 19

Everything is falling into place as we approach the Sanderlanche for this book. See how close our crew can get on their predigments when we're this close to the finale.

108 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 15, 16, and 17

Some cracks starting to show a bit for our crew on this one, with some criticism being thrown around not just by the crew but by the emails coming in. So it's an interesting time on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

107 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 13 and 14

Jaymee had to sit this one out. So it's an all-guy show. There's some interesting little tidbits coming out in these chapters, but really it's a lot of talking. We're all really loving MeLaan, though. The kandra is stealing the show on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

106 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 11 and 12

Some interesting thoughts coming out of these chapters. How much of what Waxillium Ladrian does is him being a hero and how much is just a rich man refusing to follow the rules to do whatever he wants? And then, as Steris rises in everyone's opinions, Wayne takes a dive because of how he treats her. Things can turn around just that quickly on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

105 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 8, 9, and 10

This is an interesting set of chapters. Some very fun relationship stuff that our crew latches onto, but for the big shockers, make sure you stay tuned to the predigments. They came up with some doozies on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

104 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 6 and 7

Wax finds a dead body and then has a little chat with god. So, you know, not a particularly eventful couple of chapters or anything. The crew is really getting drawn into the story now that our apparent villain is coming into focus. Though the name "Bleeder" doesn't exactly wow them. What is this kandra planning, and why does it seem to involve Wax? Find out in this book (one would hope), but certainly not in this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

103 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 4 and 5

Joe missed this one, but you'll find a little addition from him spliced awkwardly into the beginning of the episode. Are my editing skills absolutely par or what? ... Sub you say? Huh. Alright then. Anyway, Jaymee, Dac and I try to pick up the slack by really getting into these chapters and particularly ripping apart the use of High Imperial. 102 - Shadows of Self - Chapters 1, 2, and 3

We get into the book proper this week, and there are mixed reactions. We're jumping right into some action which is always good, but there's also lots of setup here and no completely clear path as to what to expect next. 101 - Allomancer Jak and Shadows of Self Prologue

In this episode we meet Allomancer Jak, hero of the roughs. There are ... strong feelings about him amongst the crew. There's a reveal of the dark, terrible secret behind the existence of the Koloss (they're people; the secret is they're people, shocking, I know). We also get another wacky Wax/Lessie adventure. Just reading the prologue with no other context leads to some interesting feelings and expectations for this new book. Hear all about it on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

100 - The Alloy of Law - Chapters 19, 20, and Epilogue

We have reached the end of The Alloy of Law! This week we get to hear what the crew thinks of the wrap-up on this one. Did it live up to the first trilogy's legacy?

We finally solve the mystery of the Vanishers and how they ... you know, vanish things. That's a verb, right? Anyway, also there's another big firefight. Wax shoots and blows up some guys. Wayne beats them up. Even Marasi gets in on the action. With only one more episode left in this book, though, the real fun is hearing what the crew thinks will happen to manage to wrap this story up by the end.
